Immunizing our children is a great way to keep them happy and healthy.
Proof of immunization is a requirement for attendance at any school,
Head Start, or childcare facility. An exemption may be granted for
medical, religious, or personal reasons.
It is important as health care professionals to promote immunization
as an effective tool to prevent many diseases. Even though progress
has been made to eliminate many vaccine-preventable diseases, they
still exist. We must be vigilant in our efforts to ensure that as
many children are protected as possible.
